Not every dog is a jaw on legs. The Hurley is for the rest of them — a squishy-feeling Zogoflex bone that keeps bouncing back.
Biscuit, our 20-pound quality-assurance department, has had four weeks with it.
Test notes
Week 1: fetch approved, chew approved, pool approved. It floats high in the water — easy grab.
Week 3: light surface texturing, nothing structural. Biscuit remains committed.
Week 4: still in daily service. Note: we deliberately did NOT give this one to Moose. West Paw rates it for moderate chewing and we believe them.
Bottom line
For small-to-medium dogs and moderate chewers this is the nicest toy in the box. Power-chewer households should look at the KONG instead.
Chomp-approved
- Floats, bounces, and survives — the triathlete of chew toys
- Soft enough for gentler mouths, tougher than it feels
- West Paw replaces it if your dog wins. Respect
Hard truths
- A determined power chewer will eventually carve it
- Costs real money for a rubber bone
